  3. Hello, my name is Ryleigh Keeney. When I'm not in school I like to play all types of sports and I love to read. I would have to say that the thing that made me the most proud last year was standing in the snow at state marching band with everyone cheering. That moment made me feel really proud of being an East Central Raider. I love reading and writing so English is one of my favorite subjects. But sometimes writing can be kind of difficult when you get in a writer's block. Since I love reading I've read many books but my all time favorite books are the Harry Potter series. This year I would like to maintain a 4.0 grade point average and I would like to succeed in all my other extra curricular activities.

  4. My favorite hobbies are probably reading, writing, playing volleyball, and doing anything active. I love being outside. In 7th grade, I wrote a book. It was science fiction and it was called "The Big Book of Fairytales". It was my biggest accomplishment. The three things I like most about English is writing and spelling. I'm sort of a good speller but when someone spells something wrong I get sort of angry because they spelled it wrong. I, also, like reading. All this summer I read and last year I read a total of 17 books plus the 4 i read this summer. The best book I have read so far in high school was "Lush". It was about this girl's father who was an alcoholic and she called him lush. Some of my goals for being a sophomore is to make this the best year ever! I want to read a lot this year and pass all my classes and hopefully find out what I want to be when I grow up.

  8. Hi! my name is Jacinta Jargo. My favorite hobbies consist of dance and playing or shooting hoops with Catrina. I am very excited about dance this year because it is going to be my first year of assisting; also my fifth year of Pointe. My proudest accomplishment in my life so far would be making all-state speech twice as a freshman! My favorite things about English are being able to express yourself through words and presenting projects. My least favorite thing would be correct grammar, however, I know that it is very important and I hope to improve on my grammar this year. The best book I've ever read is Three Minute Bedtime Stories. To be honest I've never read the complete book but, under the cover is my favorite story of all time... “The Most Spoilt Princess in the World” by Julie Horton. My goals this year are to be the best that I can be, to get excellent grades, and excel in everything I do. I would love to make all-state speech as a performer this year.

  9. Hi! My name is Catrina Jargo. When I’m out of school I love to read and be with my cat, Bumblerina. She means the world to me. When I’m in school I enjoy learning almost anything. I also enjoy playing basketball and golf. There are many things I have done that I am proud of however; I think the two things I'm the most proud of are being chosen for All-State Non-Performing Group Speech as a freshman with Jacinta in our performance of “Ditzies”. The other thing would be in eighth grade when our girls basketball travel team beat Northeast in their own tournament after they had practice before the game in order to prepare for us. The thing I like most about English is reading and I just don't like it I love it. What I dislike most about English is the spelling and grammar because I have always been bad at it but that is one of the things I would like to improve on this year. The best book I have ever read would be... I don't know there are so many good choices but if I had to I would chose The Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket or any Dan Brown book especially Angels and Demons. I just loved that book! This year I want to apply myself to the best of my abilities and try to make Individual All-State Speech!

My hobbies outside of school would be:fishing, horse back riding, three wheeling, trail rides, and anything that deals with the outdoors. My hobbies in school would be sports like: basketball, volleyball and track. I think the thing that I'm most proud of doing is helping my dad and Jake break horses and helping them with farm work. Because I'm usually busy but this summer I made more time for that. The thing i like most about English is that we get to read books we like and i like it when we have to come up and right a story because i really like telling stories and using my imagination. The thing I don't like about English is talking in front of people because i get really nervous and i tense up sometimes. The best book i ever read would have to be Sisters Red. 15. Hey! I'm Karissa Ann Stage, also known as KarKar by some of my closer friends. But you can just call me Karissa. I am 15 years old, but I'll be 16 in January. Outside of school I like to go horse riding. There's just something about it that makes me feel like I'm free. I don't have to think about what I'm doing, it just comes almost naturally. I also like to read and just hang out with my friends. But inside of school I guess you could say that I like to learn. That's not exactly the stone solid truth, but there's not much else to do in school other than read. Which as I already stated, I like a lot. One thing I'm proud of doing is taking is my FES, Freddie. Mainly because the fact that I'm giving him an American experience is kind of exciting. And hes really awesome, so hanging out with him is super fun. Now lets talk about English. There is not much that I DON'T like about it. I pretty much love everything except the homework. But that's not a personal thing against homework in English. I just don't like homework at all. Oh, my favorite book you ask? My favorite book of almost all time, is for sure A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. If you haven't read it yet, I highly suggest you take a trip to the library and/or bookstore and pick it up. Or else it's the magical world of the Harry Potter Novels. There's something about them that bring happiness to my soul. And this year, my goals are to pretty much just focus on school, my family, and my friends, and stay out of trouble and drama. :)
